Wimbledon will remain as a single parliamentary constituency
Parliament requires the 2018 Boundaries Review to reduce the number of constituencies and to keep the number of electors in each constituency broadly equal, whilst also taking into account factors such as local community ties. The number of constituencies in London was required to reduce from 73 to 68.
Initial proposals in September 2016 divided Wimbledon into two constituencies with Putney constituency including Wimbledon Village and Wimbledon Parkside. RAWW made a case to the Boundary Commission for keeping the whole Wimbledon community together in one constituency. This now forms part of the revised boundary proposals published in October 2017 which unites the whole of Wimbledon with its strong community and geographic links. See more on this here.
